I expect you want all three to be used as single volumes of full drive size, as opposed to splitting each into smaller Partitions treated as individual drives. You also need to under stand about setting jumpers on the hard drives. Maxtor N256 Jumper Settings I really need to start working and I was not able to install the new Western Digital WD2000JB-00DUA0 hard drive with a Promise ULTRA100 ATA TX2 PCI card (2.0.0210.2). A system normally will have one Boot Drive, specified in the BIOS Setup Boot Priority Sequence, and may have several other non-bootable drives. This way when I travel with my laptop I just unhook the drive from the desktop and stick it in my case.

In Windows 2000/XP/Vista, your new drive will not appear at all in My Computer until you format it. Uses the same controller, drive head, etc. The W2K also detected the new drive when I try check in the ‘device manager'.However, there isn't one WD SATA HD in the explorer. his comment is here The bios detected the drive and reboot.
