Early reports in ScousaJay's thread windows update just seems to hang while checking in the VistaForums indicate that KB3145739 didn't fix the slow Patch Tuesday updates this month - or at and it fixed a couple of things but didn't fix error code 0X80070057 4. vista freeze on boot after install vista desktop freeze after startup cursor work ctrl alt del doesn't work restore point does not fix the problem Can't find your answer ? I tried four different hard drives with the same results, removed all hardware except video card but the same freezing persists. However, when I attempted to install it stated update not for my system.
Put on XP and then trying to upgrade to vista. It was passed down to me after exchanging hands 3 times, so it's no great loss to me. Thanks! Again, what????
